If I were to tell you in 1999 the 60% of content that you will be consuming will be digital or rather if as a marketer I suggest someone today to adopt pamphlets or handbills as a strategy, in both the cases you’d probably think of this as a folly.
Imagine the only Ad-free social platform also tuning into a place to stream digital Ads! Rather how much would you’ve to pay for an Ad-free version of Whatsapp?
It was rumoured later in May, that there will be Ad streaming in WhatsApp. Imagine the only Ad-free social platform also tuning into a place to stream digital Ads! Rather how much would you’ve to pay for an Ad-free version of Whatsapp?
There are several other questions on how these Ads would work? Will this be a version of Ads on your screen with banners and widgets based on your conversation with people (yet again your privacy is transparent) or these Ads will be in the forms of stories that are shown by Whatsapp Web in your APP right after installation.
Or groups with maximum members will be targeted for Ads based on their content consumption, or companies like TVC, Quint and etc shall be targeted to show Ads in their groups so that their subscribed audience is notified!
Whatever the case may be, we are now totally running in the era of Digital dominance where even Youtube has opted to sell a premium version.
But I would leave this with a remark, are digital budgets increasing so much that we are forgetting that Ads were supposed to inform, elucidate and not irritate your audience.
